What is a SME bird and why would we stalk them? Usually referred to simply as SMEs (subject matter experts), SME birds are the major source of information for technical writers. Most often found in the guise of engineers, they can be elusive, overworked, uncommunicative, or down right difficult. In this interactive session, Susan Becker and Gwaltney Mountford will share with you tips for getting what you need, when you need it, from SME birds in a variety of environments.
