AuthorIT in the Real World

"They always say time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself."
--Andy Warhol

With RoboHelp and FrameMaker in "sunset mode" many forward-looking technical communications professionals are wondering what their next authoring platform is going to be. AuthorIT stands out among the contenders for its features, price, and significant list of clients.

In this presentation, Chris Muntzer and Rolfe Dlugy-Hegwer take a practical hands-on look at AuthorIT, a comprehensive authoring, content management, and publishing tool. Both Chris and Rolfe are currently implementing AuthorIT in their workplaces.

Some of the topics they will cover include:

  • Key concepts and live examples in AuthorIT
  • Authoring features and "gotchas"
  • Importing legacy documents
  • Examples of output from AuthorIT
  • Several licensing scenarios and real answers to the question: "How much does it cost?"

Come ready to ask questions!
